With all the changes occurring in the world lately, many of us are passing more time in our homes. It can seem difficult to keep up with a good lifestyle when your gym in Brooklyn Park is closed.
You may have become the educator, chef, and parent in your home. Perhaps you are working from home for a while and struggling to set up some structure during the day.
Through the course of these unusual times, it can be tempting to waste time on the couch, watching the news and your favorite shows, and likely dropping your daily workout routine. We may be spending more time at home, but we can still create ways to keep up a healthy routine! We’ve shared our top useful habits you can integrate into your current everyday routine to stay active, support your immune system, and maintain momentum toward attaining your wellness objectives.
Integrate Home Workouts
One benefit of spending additional time at home is the flexibility in your everyday agenda. Think about your day. Where can you find a couple of minutes for a quick workout? An awesome sweat session doesn’t need to be long to be effective. As long as your heart rate increases, you will create fat and calorie-burning advantages! Start with our 12-minute home fitness class you can finish anytime, anywhere!
Include Your Kids in Your Workout
The pools may not be open, but there are still almost endless ways to create fun projects your kiddos will like. After all, being active isn’t just for adults! Here are a couple of our favorite fun (and free!) ways your family can get as a group:
- Take the dog for a walk
- Bring a frisbee outside in the warm sun (hello Vitamin D!)
- Break for a bike ride or roller skate expedition
- Create a floral arrangement with your outdoor blooms
- Play ball in the yard
- Snag your sidewalk chalk and make a driveway masterpiece
- Have a dinner cooking competition
- Turn on the music and have a dance competition
Prepare Healthy Meals
Are you trying your best to stay out of the grocery store? That works! Right now is the time to innovate in the kitchen and incorporate your favorite canned goods and frozen foods. With the children out of school, full workdays, and everyday household chores, keep your breakfasts, lunches, and dinners straightforward during summertime.
At FXB, we make good nutrition uncomplicated for our members. Snag your chosen protein type from the freezer, pick a carb for a side, and mix in some healthy fat. And then it’s done: a healthy dinner with no fuss. (And if it’s your fun day, call for a pizza and sit back!)
